Why “The Dive Inn”?
EVERY BEACH TOWN HAS ITS STORIES.
We like to imagine that sometime in the 1960s, after the tourists had gone home and the lights along Cherry Grove had gone quiet, a few locals wandered out toward the pier, looked down at the Atlantic and decided a swimming pool seemed pretty unnecessary.
Did it actually happen that way?
Probably not. But it should have.
Because at The Dive Inn, the ocean has always been the point. Our little place sits so close to the Atlantic that from the balconies, it feels like you could practically dive right in.
No sprawling resort. No maze of elevators. No giant pool deck between you and the reason you came to Cherry Grove in the first place. Just seven suites, the beach out back, and the biggest swimming pool on Earth.
So no, we don't have a pool. We have the Atlantic.

The building
There was a time when going to the beach did not involve enormous resorts, parking decks, wristbands, crowded elevators and four hundred identical hotel rooms.
You found a little place by the ocean. You parked outside. You carried your bags upstairs. You opened the door, threw on your swimsuit and went to the beach.
The Dive Inn isn't a new hotel pretending to be vintage. It began as part of the era we're celebrating. Rather than erase that history, the 2026 reimagining kept it.
The property was fully reimagined in 2026 — a comprehensive renovation inside and out — while preserving the intimacy, simplicity and personality that made old-school beach inns special.
